About Us
The Artworks cooperative was founded in the Summer
of 1989 by a group of local artisans seeking a common base from which to sell
their work. Today our members hail from a radius of
nearly 100 miles. The shop is staffed by members of the co-op so visitors will meet one or more of the artisans when they visit.
Please don't hesitate to ask the person behind the counter what area of the shop
belongs to them. They will be happy to share their personal story with
you.
We feature unique art and hand made craftwork produced in and around The
Adirondack region of New York State. No "Made in China" labels will be found
here.

Old Forge is located approximately 50 miles north northeast of Utica, NY in
the west central section of the historic and scenic Adirondack Mountains.
