I have been
photographing flora and fauna for more than thirty years. My
husband, Bob, and I moved to the Adirondack area fifteen years ago from our home in
Rochester, New York. We both love
kayaking and hiking, and delight in sharing theses adventures with our
seven grandchildren.
I’m a former member of
the Utica Camera Club and have been a member of The Artworks
for twelve years.
I
have exhibited my work at the Arts Center in Old Forge, the Old Forge
Library, Kirkland Art Center, The Red Room at the Stanley Theater in
Utica, Herkimer County Community College, and The Sidewalk Show at
Munson-Williams-Proctor Art Institute in Utica.
I have been a docent
with MWPAI for fourteen years and was the District V director of the
Federated Garden Clubs of New York State. I am also a nationally
accredited flower show judge and believe that each experience and position
has helped enhance my photographic endeavors.
Photography began as a
hobby, became a profession and is now a passion. My love of nature began
in early childhood and learning more about nature is a daily avocation. I
also enjoy participating in nature programs for children and adults.
In June of 2009, I began working as a staff member of Potato Hill Farms
Outdoor Educational Center in Boonville, New York. As a guide I
enjoy hiking and/or snowshoeing with elementary school children 15 to 20
hours weekly.
New items for 2010
include Flora and Fauna photographs on ceramic tiles, coasters and
magnets.
